This policy explains what personal data SmartAxis LLC ("SmartAxis", "we") collects when you visit smart-axis.ai, why we collect it and what rights you have. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run this website and answer your enquiries.
01Who is responsible
The controller for personal data processed through this website is SmartAxis LLC. You can reach us at any time at contact@smart-axis.ai.
02Contact form and email
When you send us a message, we process the name, email address, company and message you provide, plus the topics you select. We use this information only to answer your enquiry and, if you wish, to prepare a proposal. The message is delivered to our company mailbox through our email provider. The legal basis is your request and our legitimate interest in responding to it. We keep enquiries for as long as needed to handle them and for up to 24 months afterwards, unless a business relationship requires longer retention.
03Website statistics
Our server records anonymous statistics about page visits so we can see which pages are useful: the page visited, the referring website, browser and device type, screen size, preferred language, how long the page was viewed and how far it was scrolled, and an approximate country and city derived from your IP address using the ip-api.com service. We never store your IP address, and automated traffic (bots) is excluded. Without your consent, no cookies or browser storage are used for these statistics: visits are grouped using a one-way hash that changes every day, so you cannot be recognised across days. If you click "Accept analytics", we additionally keep a random identifier in your browser's local storage so that repeat visits are not counted as new visitors. It contains no personal information and is deleted when you clear this site's data.
04Google Analytics (only with your consent)
If you click "Accept analytics" in the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited. Google Analytics sets cookies to measure how visitors use the site. IP addresses are not logged or stored by Google Analytics 4. If you choose "Essential only", Google Analytics stays in a cookieless, consent-denied mode and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's storage for this site.
05Essential storage
We store your cookie choice and a dismissed language suggestion in your browser's local storage. If you sign in to the administration area, a strictly necessary authentication cookie is used. These are required for the website to work and do not track you.
06Hosting
This website is hosted on servers rented from Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany. Server logs that may contain IP addresses are kept for security purposes for a maximum of 14 days.
07Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email contact@smart-axis.ai. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
08Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website or the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
