(01) Overview
MediConnect Exchange is a HIPAA-compliant health information exchange connecting healthcare providers, insurers and patients. We modernized its clinical data exchange infrastructure, implementing HL7 FHIR standards for seamless EHR integration. The project required deep knowledge of healthcare regulations, data security and complex integration patterns. We designed and built RESTful APIs for patient data exchange, implemented comprehensive audit logging and ensured compliance with HIPAA, HITECH and regional regulations. The platform now securely exchanges millions of clinical records every year, improving care coordination and reducing administrative overhead.
